unless youre driving a car with less than 1cm of ground clearance i dont think thats really an issue. Plus you still have air coming in the side scoops and still traveling up. Air coming down a roof scoop would have to do a complete 180 in the engine bay causing inefficient/slow airflow.
If you really wanted a roof scoop that worked, fab up a solid underbody/diffuser for the engine bay and get a big roof scoop like the NSX race cars with the air venting out up and over the diffuser (between the bottom of the bumper and the top of the diffuser) you also might need to block off or reshape the side ducts to do that efficiently.
My idea for a roof scoop is one that would feed a trunk mount intercooler

that way its functional and doesnt mess with the natural airflow (much)
