My step-mom has an old 1984-86 Mr2 (she cannot remember what year) that is N/A. It has been sitting in the barn for 10 years and only has 66k miles on it. I live in Virginia, but it is in Michigan. I know its not the best place for rust, but I was wondering if it was worth it. She said I can have the car if I fix it up (paint, clutch, fluids, battery, filters, rims, tires). Do you guys think it is worth it? I have never driven one before, and I know it has the same engine as the AE86!

I am really interested in this car for mild modifications and all out Touge style racing

Are they reliable engine's? I know its a toyota but 10 years no start is not exactly promising LOL. I have to drive like 20 hours to get there and check for rust etc...

And I currently own a scion Xa (2006) with mild mods as well but am looking for more of a touge car LOL.
