There are guys on this board and others that are parting out MKI's, you might get in touch with one of them and see if you can get a new steering box from them.
My Rack and Pinon were tight, but tie rods were loose, found a set on E bay and replaced them myself. Once you get the steering box out of the car changing the tie rods is easy. (I know "Easy" is a relative term) but the Big Green Book does a good job of explaining it. Since your inner tie rods were shot, the outers probably aren't in much better shape.
Just checked E Bay, inner and outer tie rods and front lower ball joints, $66. delivered.
