Congratulations to Zircon - MR2Board's September 2008 Showcase MR2!
1993 Toyota MR2 3SGE to GenIII 3SGTE

This month's Showcase MR2 has a little in common with the last. It's a GenIII 3SGTE, it hails from Europe and it's a beautiful blue colour and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Zircon's car started life as a Naturally Aspirated 3SGE and started its transformation into his dream car soon after he bought it in 2002. Even after a complete engine bay remodelling, Zircon decided it wasn't enough and started all over with a Turbocharged GenIII 3SGTE from a parts car he purchased. Even after a quick glance at the engine bay, its hard to imagine how much time was invested in cleaning and repainting nearly ever engine bay part.

This '93 sits on an Tom's C7R's, Gab Revo Stroke R Coilovers and High'n'Tight Poly Bushings. The Turbocharged powerplant breaths in through an Apex'i filter and out through a HKS SSQV BOV and a replica Departure exhaust. Similar to pit bull' car last month, Zircon's interior is fitted with painted dash inserts and a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob set. Topping off the upgrade is an Alpine headunit and S2000 engine start button.
