The engine is stock and the non-interference thing is a myth. The inlet valves do get hit by the pistons!! Check the wiki on this subject, it even explicitly states the same...

So do check your timing belts or you'll end up with 8 crushed valve lifters (is that the correct word?) and bent valves.....
I got the data I needed after digging in the forum, but thanks for the help on this.
And Mandalay, the valves have been sourced by one of our direct competitors, and he was willing to sell these to us at a fair price... I guess that's enough backscratching, I can't expect him to tell all of his secrets...
