I was still able to work it out. Put everything back the way they were except no heat shields underneath.
I contacted ssautochrome (well i bought it from another seller but said ssautochrome was their sister company) and showed him the california exhaust setup. I told him that the downpipe was a one long piece all the way to the catalytic converter. After I emailed him the picture, I told him to look at it closely and to look at the one they are selling. He said that they were not aware it was like that and had asked me for a favor to make 2 adapters that they will be happy to pay for both and for me to send them one for their production
