You put 4a-ge crank (Bluetop?), rods and pistons (91/2:1Compression ratio) into a 4a-gze block, and, it was still supercharged as well?
Or normally aspired?
Were the crank bearings new? No piston to valve clearance problems? oh yeah..tell me more..
The reason I ask is I've got a spare 4a-gze block out back without a crank and am lookin' for some options for a hopped up engine on a parts budget?

I didn't really expect it to last but I had the bits and just threw it together. Its been 3 years of hard abuse now and still hasn't blown up. But that isn't putting everything onto a buetop just using bluetop internals. Got to say I am surprised since the rods have had no treatment at all.
If it goes much longer I'll do another one with shot peened rods and make it a permanent fixture.
