Should be I'm guessing that it is the one that drives the alternator and waterpump. The idler may have seized or just collasped a bearing. Give it a spin and if it doesn't move or has a lot of play that is your problem. If it is the alternator belt then that is what is throwing the lights cause 3 lights come on when the alternator stops charging.
I had one seize once and I pressed it apart cleaned it regreased it and resealed it and it worked fine again but better to replace I was short on time.
