I suppose it would generate/show an engine fault but other than that, would it be/cause a problem.
Doing this you can stay out of boost when your in city traffic, and can re-enable it when you want it, not when the car want's it.

i heard about a guy that used his power/economy AC buttons to activate and disconnect the electronmagnetic clutch on his SC, but he said it ran like such a dog.
why don't you just try and drive around without the SC led coming on ?
im running 11.5psi on my 4agze and can still get 30mpg if im careful
