MAP in place of MAF

I was reading on the fourms one day and I read something about using a MAP sensor instead of a MAF sensor. It was said that it is better to use the MAP sensor if you are going to run higer levels of boost? Is there a Toyota compatible part that the stock ecu can read? I am assuming that it might come from a newer model Toyota. It seems to me that if possible would be better than the MAF anyway.
