Toyota MR2 Rev 2 w/ Toyota 3VZ-FE V6

Before you PM the MR2Showcase account and scold us for Showcasing the same car twice, take a closer look! Yes, this car is also from the UK. Yes, this car has had a heart transplant and, yes, this car is a very rare Zircon Blue model.

...but.... aside from being equally as unique, and just as spectacular, this is a completely different car from Zircon's (See: September 2008 MR2 Showcase)

Bob fell in love with the MKII at about the same time as the rest of us- when we could least afford it. First seeing an new SW20 at a dealership soon after their release, like many owners, Bob knew right away that this was the car for him, and like many of us, it took years of dreaming before he had one to call his own. In 2004, after three months of searching, the perfect car came around. On eBay, a nearly perfect, unmolested, low mileage car came up for bid only 40 miles away. It had only two previous owners and 37K miles, and it came with a full service history. Knowing this was exactly what he wanted, Bob agreed on paying top dollar for the car.

Four years later and the car has undergone a major change. Bob elected to have a 3VZ-FE 3.0L V6 fit to the MKII chassis. Completed by Paul Woods' Woodsport, this swap is one of the cleanest we've seen. Beyond looking amazing with the V6 in the engine bay, the car also sports the power it always deserved with 173 wheel horsepower.
