I got a whole list that I got for my rebuild (soon)
The list is at least 1 page long.
I suggest always doing the machine work and most important balancing the crank (when putting new pistons). If not then the rebuild will wear out prematurely.

I think it depends on the person really, if people just want a good daily driver, then a rebuild won't cost them that much if they don't get the sweet-goodies.
