mine used to freeze up occasionaly over the summer, but i would drive 15 ft and it would pop off, a few weeeks ago it ACTUALLY froze and i drove with it on (thinkin it would pop off) for about 1.5 miles....needless to say the rotor was GLOWING red and i could smell metal burning....i had to disconnect it at 3 am in the middle of a neighborhood, but the cops came (4 of them) and shined their spotlights on me so i could work!!! lol
