my method is usefull if you have an extensive tool colection(mine is pushing 10k)
i use a air hammer with a taper punch that is small enough to just fit in the dimpel
on the end of the stud, make sure you are aligned with the stud, if you slip off
you can do serious damage, hold it tightly and hit it with a quick burst, works
great for me and does no damage if carefull.

don't forget eye protection!!!

i will post my results when i do mine, but i have no doubts, i have used this method
for years when i worked for one of those capitalistic stealerships.
update if you even care, all 4 ball joints and replace all bushings(without a
torch) about 3hrs, did the front with the air hammer easy but louder than
hell, the rear with a sledge one sharp whack on the stud and they were
out, the car has 250k on it so it might be a weather thing i am in CA,

are you guys doing them on the car or removing the LCA's
all i did was have the arm removed and suported with the ball joint
in the air and they popped right out,

if your going to be replacing the bushings i used a pice of threaded rod
some washers and sockets and pressed the bushings out, insted of
trying to burn them and breath in who knows what.
