Well if you get a 93+ MR2 with ABS and the 93+ Turbo brakes, the car is capable of 60-0 in 107ft according to Motor Trends best bang for the buck issue August 1994. Compare that to a 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena which does 60-0 in 110ft.

A stock 93+ MR2 also garners .94g on the skidpad, the same results as a Ferrari F40.

And if you get a MR2 with a stock 3rd gen 3sgte swapped into them, they are capable of the quartermile in 13.3 seconds.

If you want a good all around track car/atuox/ drag car, the MR2 is a great choice, especially with a 3rd gen swapped in (although the 2nd gen is no slouch if u slap a methanol kit and t3/t4 turbo kit onto it and turn the boost up to 25psi, just less safe is all)

There old cars, a lot of them require maintenance more so than a new STi has. But I think its better than paying monthly car payments, whenever a part goes bad on my MR2, I upgrade and look forward to having it faster than it was b4.
