Hello, I am new to MR2 ownership and have always loved the gen1. I recently purchased 4 vehicles of which one was a throw in for buying the other 2. The 2 project cars that I am working with are both t-tops 1 a 87 and the other 88. I purchased another one wrecked in the front for the engine which was completed today and now runs. I need to clean up the interior and find some parts like the center console and the interior covers for the t-top latches; this one is an automatic (87).
The 88 is a a stick shift and will be my personal ride. This one needs an engine replacement also but I am in no rush since I intend to learn off the one already running.
My other car is a '01 Toyota Solara SLE auto with approx. 70K miles a nice ride but i yearn for some nostalgia and a nice Sunday ride with the tops off.
I will be counting on you guys for help although the mechanic that is working on my cars is pretty good - one of those Jamaican Chinese - operating GPC Automotive repairs here in Orlando.
Well, like I said I am glad to be here and part of this group. I hope we can keep the MR2 gen1 & II fire burning.
