I remember buying as its on the EPC water temperature sender where is that one located and is that for the instrument cluster gauge ?
Yep it's on the water outlet... it has 3 pins, one goes to the instrument cluster and one goes to the ECU, I think the other one is 5V feed.

Oil pressure switch , where is that located ?
Exhaust side of the back of the head, 1 wire plug going to it.

From memory this just goes to the light on your dash, not to the ECU or anything. It could perhaps be useful to the ECU somehow depending on how clever you can make it, perhaps cut ignition when the light is on, or set rev limit to 1500rpm or something.

Probably better off with a 0-5V oil pressure or temperature gauge if you want any meaningful input towards the ECU, but dont know how relevant it'd be.

Also another sensor on the block near the knock sensor looks like a big transister ? What is it.
I've always wondered this too! Interested to know.

As you can gather im writting a list of all the things i would like the Motec to control and or trgger.
Full list that I can think of...

cam angle sensor,
VVTI solenoid, (PWM?)
crank angle sensor,
injectors x 4,
coil packs x 4,
oxy sensor, (0-2v?)
MAP sensor, (0-5v)
intake temp sensor, (0-5v)
coolant temp sensor, (0-5v)
knock sensor, (0-5v?)
idle speed control valve, (PWM)
TPS. (0-5v)

For things like switching fans on and off, i'd keep it all a seperate circuit from the ECU.
