Checking in to say what's up all. I am from Mankato, MN. I am a VW/Audi guy but I have always had this thing for the MR2. I've owned plenty of cars since I could drive including a Mitsubishi EVO 8. I've never owned a MR2 but once I got into my cousins MR2, I fell in love and wanted one since. Now that I own one I had to join to get to know other owners and learn more about the car. I picked up a '91 MR2 turbo for one hell of a deal. Straight up trade for my $500 '96 Honda Civic for it. I couldn't believe it. Car currently runs but has some issues, mainly body issues. With work and living in MN in the winter time, it's hard to get anything done on the car. Currently the car is just sitting in my garage waiting until spring to start fixing it up and take her out. As of right now the car has a swapped 2nd gen jdm engine with t3/t4 turbo, lsd tranny, various electronics in the car. Looks like greddy profec-b, greddy auto turbo timer, tinted ebay gauges.
I just ordered a set of tanabe coilovers and kouki tailights for it. The body is really rough, last owner did all the body work and paint himself. It didn't turn out too good. Needs lots of TLC.
