Hum...it's not a bad idea...especially since it won't be you daily driver. I always wanted to underdrive mine to get rid of the slightly disconnected feeling. Honestly the MR2 has a much better power steering setup than most Toyotas. I think that would work since Colin has power steering but it doesn't work
. The non-power steering rack might be lighter still but you can wait to swap that out for a bit cause you need different inner tie rod end links for that...
