UPDATE

UPDATE: Well, it's been a busy weekend of car projects...

My brother-in-law and I pulled the motor out of his Conquest TSI and put his new motor on his stand. Ready to begin the gasket change, not a big deal. Also, taking his old motor down to the bare block to get hot tanked and start the rebuild on that one. Pics to follow (just cause its cool!)
Yay for my bro's Starquest! hehe

Also, upon battling with my MR2, I got the throttle body off, with the loss of a hose or two, and more than one bloody knuckle. Pics on that to follow also. I have to share with you guys just how gummed up the throttle body is. I hope the pics I took do it justice, because its so royally screwed up, you have to really crank on it to open or close the throttle. I found what looks to be 100 cigars worth of ashy build up (coolant dried and gooey), which has caked and clogged the entire unit. The cleaning on that starts hopefully tonight. Again, I'll update this with a couple pics from each event, cause I like sharing progress with you guys. You've been a great help for me so far, and the suggestion of inspecting the throttle body was a great one. It most certainly needs a complete cleaning. At this point, with the sacrifice of a couple hose tips from removing the throttle body, I don't plan on hearing the 4AGZE run in the MR2. Right now, the stripping starts, and the parts come off and get cleaned meticulously for use in the AE86 or for sale if they're not needed for the swap. If anyone's gonna need anything from my MR2 that I won't be saving either for the AW11 20v swap or the GZE in the 86, let me know!
