That hood and decal look in pretty good shape. I used to work with a guy who had a black 1987 with a white version of that decal. Strange since I think that it was only available up to 86.

If you want metal wire mesh and don't want to get too fancy you can go to someplace like Home Depot and buy a big sheet of the metal mesh that is used to provide structure and strength to plaster walls and cement flooring. It comes in large sheets but it can be folded up to fit in the trunk. My FX front air damn came with a few cut pieces and I realized that the same stuff could be bought for cheap at home supply stores. Careful as the edges of the sheet are sharp.
