I suppose it would generate/show an engine fault but other than that, would it be/cause a problem.
Doing this you can stay out of boost when your in city traffic, and can re-enable it when you want it, not when the car want's it.

I just converted my GZE to turbo in a 2 stage process. The first stage eliminated the SC and I drove it NA for a couple months like that. I calculated my mpg and it was to close to compare between normal boosted driving and NA. I might have gotten 1 or 2 mpg better on a long road trip but nothing to write home about. I found without the SC my foot spent a lot more time on the floor just to get it's slow ass moving. Let me tell you 1.6 liters with low comp and no boost is a dog. Compare it to the super econo civic on accel but still only half the mpg. I wouldn't bother. The car is designed for boost. The compression is designed for boost and from what I found it's happiest that way.
Just drive nice and baby the pedal. Smooth inputs have a huge effect, easy on easy off, that kind of stuff.
