drilled and slotted why?

hey I just started painting mine I use Dupli-color caliper paint kit from autozone it was only $10. and bought some new front calipers $30 a peace. it looks good so far, cant wait till i get them on!!
i'll post some pics.

I was told not to waist my money on drilled and slotted rotors there more for slowing down from a 120mph all day. but I guess they do help.

I was told (and this is from a guy who owns a race shop and trying to sell me $120 set of front brake pads (he seen that I wasn't going to buy them i guess)) have my rotors turned and buy ceramic brake pads. he said cus the car is so light you don't have to have all that stuff and it will still stop on a dime. I got the ones from autozone cus they have lifetime warranty. the only problem is they didn't have any ceramic for the back so I got organic ones only $17 ceramics are $55 but now they don't cost anything for new ones
