Fuel problems...

Hi,

My name is Brandon Gamble... I'm new to this forum but I've been a lover of Mr2's since I was 16...

I recently purchased a 1985 Mr2 for $300 and am trying to work out the kinks... It's pretty complete... almost no rust.. the catch is the last time it ran it over heated... I did a compression test and got around 130 per cylinder... I think parts of the emission control system have been removed and I can't seem to get fuel pressure to the rail... This is where my first question lies...

I tested for power at the blue wire next to the sending unit with the key in the on position... Nothing... I jumpered the B+ and Fp terminals and I got power but could hear no pump... I'm guessing it's bad... I tried reversing the polarity to try and shake it loose but no luck... a new one is on the way... My question is does the fact that I had to jumper the diagnostic terminal mean that the air flow meter is bad as well? Is their a way to test it? If it is bad can I rebuild it?...
I'll post a few pics as soon as I figure out how so that those who know can tell me what might be off, changed, missing things like that...

Thanks
Brandon
