Man, I thought I was the only one trying to get this thing fixed today...

I went to Autozone today with dad and saw this boot so I thought I check it out and bought it. Unfortunately this thing is way too long and I don't like that opening at the top not to mention it's way too big and that string to tie it just doesn't look right either. The old one you see here is actually from a toyota tercel. I found that in good shape a long time ago as you can see. The MR2 has a very short handle and as you can see even that tercel boot was still too long for this car. Not to mention it has an elastic band at the bottom and the MR2 is square. So I just put the old one inside the new one to see how that might work, but it's still was too long. Oh and yeah my armrest is well, gone. I still have it, but maybe I'll just fill this whole thing with fiberglass since that thing just keeps falling off. I cut this small piece of wood and placed it under for now until I get to messing with it again. The piece of wood is a 20mm on one end and 25 on the other, but I think a 22mm and 26mm would be a better fit with just a tiny push it should screw in okay. Does anyone have pictures of how they have fix this arm rest part?
