oh, doesn't overheat. i replaced the HG during the teardown. It isnt a rough idle, so much as a wont idle. at start up, the rpm goes to 1100 or so, holds for a second, then dies. very controlled, very consistant. if i keep a foot on the throttle, however, it stays alive just fine.
would the lack of air filter do this? its just open air to the maf right now, so would the lack of any intake restriction cause an issue for the vacuum in the airbox to keep the maf door cracked open?
