Drivetrain craziness... Help!

Hello, fellow MR2ers. A bit of a newbie, owned my '87 for about six months now. It's really great to see the support and backing these cars gather.

A couple of drivetrain questions:
Left rear wheel was making an awful racket, assumed it was a cv joint. However, upon taking out the old axle, it was actually in very decent condition. Repacked the inner boot with grease, then reinstalled. After installation, getting ready to put the wheel back on and noticed a lot of play in the hub. From there, assumed a bad wheel bearing, Replaced the bearing, but couldn't replace the grease seals because i couldn't find them anywhere. Reinstalled the wheel. The noise was significantly reduced, but there's still a little bit of intermittent scraping that increases with speed and seems to show up more under braking. Any clue what this could be? Pretty sure it's not the pads. Could there have been some installation error with the new bearing? pretty sure it done correctly (excepting the seals). Help!
