The difference is that out cops contain their own separate igniters. The 2 wire cops you speak of are just coils. They are driven and controlled by a separate ignition module.
I like the coil/igniter cops much better.

But so how do these Honda CBR COPs work then, we have them install on a highly modded B18/19 engine, driven by VEMS, all 4 COPs have GND & 12v (+) and the ECU just triggers the bugger no separate ignition module to be spoken of.....I guess this ECU just triggers them by grounding the GND wire at the ECU end?
