I'm not so sure that worn side mounts are often an issue. I have changed really old ones on my NA and noticed virtually no difference at all. The front and the back ones, are the ones that really make a difference.
I took the poly inserts off mine because they were making far too much noise and with only partially worn mounts they were also making them a bit too stiff. Starting from a stop with really stiff mounts can sometimes really be a nuisance. You can end up having to really feather the throttle to keep from lugging or stalling the engine.
