couple photos of me (in my wifes 86) and friend in his 89..... his is much more "race prepped" with a roll bar, seats w/ 5 points and race rubber.... he was posting about 4-5 seconds faster than me (though with a stock BT and $40 ebay coilovers I was posting better times than the 3rd mk1 there with a blacktop). I got 4th in Novice out of 17 cars, first being an STI and about 3 seconds faster.
he's hitting what we dubbed the "mr2" cone... just out of the first short slalom and all of us MR2 people thought we were going wide and nailing the cone with our back inside tire.
was a cool track.... got up to about 70mph but at each end had to downshift into first because it was so tight.
