Oil squirters??? Umm they did not have oil squirters. No USDM GZE block ever had oil squirters unless someone swapped a later model block for the GZE block. I will tell you how you can tell is that the USDM GZE pistons do not have the cut out for the nozzle in the piston skirt. Now the rods actually have a dimple that will help lube the piston wall but no squirters. The squirters are more to cool the piston down and it is a little nozzle that points up the cylinder bore.
All rods have the same center to center length BUT some have the smaller rod journals. So you would not be able to use just any rod. You will have to match rod journal size (I think this is what you meant but it came out wrong).
You can essentially use any block as the cranks are all the same spec to fit the block. However the rod journals are the only part that is specific as are the rods that match. All the crank bearings are the same spec no matter what year or model (they do have different sizing and you have to read the marks on the bottom of the crank to be sure you get the proper set).
If you bought the Venoila pistons for a GZE are they not lo compression? If so then you will be hurting your hp and response by using them in NA form. If the motor you are thinking about dropping these in is a 3 rib then don't. The 7 rib is built for the extra abuse and most likely the 3 rib block has the small internals.
Hope this helps you out.....................
