Axle help.....

So by trying to remove my hub, which I did succeed, I managed to pull the axle apart.....doh.

Its the passenger side rear axle (just fyi) and is still attached.

Anyway, I took the outside seal on the boot off, folded the boot back....still looks good and will probably reuse it. Looks like I pulled the axle hub thing off the main shaft. The pin is still in place so it looks like I got a lucky pull while the pin was closed in and it just came off.

Can I just very carefully close the pin and push the hub back in, reseal the axle hub with a huge pipe clamp and call it good? Or should I pull the axle...and basically put it back together piece by piece?

all the bearings are still in there and there is a good amount of grease still in/on everything. I wiped a tad bit off the end of the shaft to inspect the pin and i guess it looks okay.

Any tips or advice would be grateful, can't say I have had much experience with taking apart axles.
