Is the intercooler in good condition, maybe it has a crack in it somewhere......I checked mine with a shop vac and soapy water(made it blow instead of suck) the hose fit perfectly to the i/c and I clamped it on there, I would cover the open end of the i/c and turned the vac on and off every few seconds and see if there were bubbles forming anywhere. Make sure its dried out on the inside if you do this, I made sure by blowing through the i/c with an electric leaf blower. Just a thought.....Did you check to see that you are getting spark during this problem? Like I did in the other post. Could it even be an OVER boost problem? Or is that considered lean out? I am stumped other than that.

No.. not the intercooler. .. I bought a good used one before we even put the motor into my 87, and had that pressure tested.. and everything is how it should be now. Yes.. it is the correct gze ecu for sure.

I'll just try another coil.. or buy a new one.. I think that may be what it is.
