opinions /suggestions on my new build

The bottom end on my gen 3 went bad and now it's time to decide what to do next. Money is tight but I would hate to stick the car back in the garage for another year after just getting it back on the road. I don't want to do a half-@$$ job either and have to pull the motor a 3rd time. I could buy another gen 3 swap the good parts over and sell the extras. This would be the cheapest but it could end up going boom like my current motor. Option 2 is start with a 2.2 stroker shortblock and build up from there with my leftovers (4" intake, 3" Berk DP and 3" exhaust). I am looking for 300hp and reliability. The forged stroker with mild headwork should be able to take anything my ct20b at modest boost levels can throw at it. Since I am stuck with 91 octane here I will install progressive water injection. Thoughts? What would you do?
