My MKII Restoration

Just wanting to post progress on my MKII restoration, work will probibly go slow because I'm a poor college student…well I guess I’ll start with some background on the car. I bought her with a blown 5SFE, the body looked good, except for some minor accident damage. The previous owner told me that a minivan rolled up the driver’s side in a parking lot, which was consistant with the body damage. So enough with the chit-chat…here’s some pics

Before the work began





I don’t really have any pictures of the following… fixing the weld flange along the bottom of the rockers, and fixing the dents on the body. Once the body work was done, I primed the car, but was too anxious, and forgot to reduce the primer because my air cap was too small for PPG’s specs, so I spent 7 hours hand sanding a rough car the next day.

I then resprayed the chassis, and this is where she stands as of today:
