My father tells me he's done rear disc brakes on a few GM's in the past and they were an absolute bear- and reccomends that I just buy "loaded" calipers with new pads and replace the entire getup instead of just the pads on my 85 mr2.
The calipers do need to be cleaned and greased, so new ones would probably save me some time, but I'm just wondering how hard they really are- if they're not much harder than the front brakes, I'll just do it the old fashioned way.
Note that neither myself or my father have ever done brakes on a toyota
Looking to do this job after work in the coming days, so I was thinking I'd be picking up pads tonight if we go that route. Any takers on advice?
