I'd go with a decent set of wires from Autozone ($35-$50). You aren't going to notice the difference in performance. The physical properties are virtually the same out of the box. The expesive wires may last a little longer (or they may not), but by the time the cheaper ones wear out, you'll probably have your books paid off.
