My goal is an absolutely reliable 300hp. My thinking is the best way to achieve that is to over-build and not push the engine to the edges of what it is capable of. If I can get 300hp out of 12 ~15 psi boost on pump gas I'll be happy. That may mean cams and a bigger 3071 down the road. If I want more later the bottom end will be able to take it.

One concern I do have with the built motor is the forged pistons and the differences in the cold /hot tolerances. That is, is there inherent slapping/ scuffing before it gets up to temperature.
