The autoparts stores around me suck for nuts and bolts, maybe yours are better but I wouldn't bet on it.
What I would do: take your broken bolt into a hardware store, go to the nuts and bolts isle, go to the metric section of that isle, find a nut about the right size and see if it easily threads onto the bolt, when you find one that does - bingo, there's your thread pitch.
Just looking at it, I'd guess it's somewhere around an M10x1.0 thread.
