i had an M45 eaton supercharger from a mini for a while. it'll fit on the engine. the aftermarket M45's will fit even better, and the newer 1.0L twinscrews will very easily fit.
its really not *that* much work. if you have a welder and something to cut metal, you could bang it out pretty quick. id run it right on top, and preferably off the timing belt.
