Question on oil temp sender.
One thing ild like to point out every model engine after 95 has a 2 pan set up, one piece alloy the other pressed steel.
On the alloy piece where the filter screws in, there are 3 grub screws around it.
They are about M14. 2 point forwards to the pulleys with the 3rd parallel to the oil filter.
Now they could be there due to closing off the machining done for the oil galleries.
But since they are there how about if i use one of them ?
Has anyone ever used them for this purpose, or why are they there ?
Gee if you look at the oil pump you will also see another grub screw M14 ? but the cam belt cover , covers it.
Now for the oil circulation there is in and out, obviously for the filter and the pump and all these grub screws have the passage to this circulation .............
Any one ever notice this ?
How about you Oldsoul45 since you have your engine apart. What do you reckon ?
