Having a transmission shop rebuild your tranny could cost thousands in parts and labor. And I think you will find that except for the most basic parts, the Dealers won't be able to supply the parts for a rebuild. N.L.A. No longer available.

What I suggest instead is to find a junk yard donor with significantly lower mileage than your transmission has.

Alternatively, if you want an even lower mileage unit, you could buy a transmission from a JDM importer. You might have to swap the shifter mechanism from one side of the tranny to the other. This is a fairly simple procedure that you could do yourself, with just a tiny piece of welding work you might have to farm out.

Or how about this, swap in a supercharged engine, so that you'll be able to outrun a whole lotta Honda's and most Acura's too.
