It's bizarre, especially considering how cheap some other hubs are. For example, front hubs on an AW11 are $101.31 each, and rear hubs are $60.48 apiece. There is no logical explanation for the huge disparity in price unless it is heavily tied to sales volume. The fact that the AW11 rear hub is also used on a lot of FWD Corollas means they sell in huge numbers compared to the SW20-only rear hub.
