I have found Subaru to be questionable fullstop. My cousin was running an 11second STi with the 2.5 twin turbo I think? He blew new factory gearboxes every 4 months and that is with only 5 track passes a piece. He ordered a built box with straight cut gears and it blew in 5 months. I like the evo though they rape all over me when they turn up to the rallies
and they don't blow up.
My subaru was entered in a derby, before it even got hot or had any real damage I slapped it down a gear and planted it and it bigtime threw a rod much to the crowds approval and then the right hand cv and tyre blew. It then covered the grandstands in smoke and died
