I spent the day reading through alot of posts and haven't seen anyone with this issue yet.
It's an 85 na just put the motor back in, so all mounts are new and tight. Just replaced slave cylinder and drained all air from the lines no leaks. Clutch does engage fairly close to the floor and I have no reason the think it's slipping.
Everything was working perfect until I drove it home from work, Hot day and first time at highway speeds for about 45 min straight.

My problem is I can't get the shifter to stay in 3rd gear. As soon as I release the clutch it pops out of 3rd back into nuetral. If i'm alittle rough on it it will stay no problem. If it's just pushed in normally it pops out on clutch release.
It does it every time when gearing down from 4th to 3rd (unless I'm little rough), and only a few times when gearing up from 2nd to 3rd. It feels as though it's just not quite makeing it all the way in.
I have so far removed the console and made a 2 revelusion adjustment of the linkage to try and have it pull a little bit further (no change). I have never serviced the transmission since I bought the car so this is my next step. I have also ordered those fancy brass bushings for the shift linkage on the transmission. Any suggestions would be great.
