Ford Engine
A good engine is good regardless who made it. My 98 Escort ZX2 has 100k+ and still runs great. 130 hp and about the same torque. I got as high as 37MPG/HWY. Isn't there an upgrade to Distributor less ignition----Using FORD parts, EDIS. Don't feel too bad, The DOHC 2.0L engine is mostly Mazda. At one time Ford, Kia, and Mazda were all using the same 2.0L 4-pot block!
I would prefer my ZX2 motor over the 4age.
