Well I drove mine with no oil for 300k miles then dumped sand in the valve cover. After flushing it with acetone and water I refilled with oil and drove another 300k.
No seriously talking about high mileage, it is not the high revving 4 cylinders: It is the dodge cummins 12 and 24v (24v minus lift pump issues).
Low revving primal engines made from big chunks of heavy metal. Cant fit one in a mr2 though.
