^ I guess where we differ is how much a "lot" of weight is. 30lbs is quite a bit of weight. I'd estimate my exhaust weighs 10lbs- downpipe, muffler, and all. Maybe a bit less. I'm a bit obsessive about saving weight- I basically take the Colin Chapman philosophy to car design.
And on that note, I ordered some lightweight lugnuts to replace the enormous stock ones I've been using. It's not a huge weight savings, but it is unsprung rotating mass.
