is it continuous pop pop pop or just one pop
if its just one then its prob a mount if its continuous then prob not as the engine only moves once when under load
i would say remove the engine cover and get a friend to watch and see if the engine is moving to far
or just rev it in the drive way the motor should still move decently if a mount is missing or broken
