I was under the car last night and saw that my new mount was flexing the bulkhead it bolts to. Try tapping the metal near the mount and see if it makes the same noise. I have no ideas how to fix it yet.

You'll probably have to beef up the area or something, add a brace or make the area that the pressure is applied over bigger. If it flexes enough it'll pull through eventually, that may take a while but its not fun to fix.
A quick way to get rid of twang noises is to spanner check everything first, a loose bolt is an easy fix.
